AASRA is a fundraiser started in hopes to contribute to the community not only monetarily but also by spreading awareness. In the webinars conducted on the 15th of August, we focused on three major fields at the forefront of this pandemic:

The funds collected from this project will be donated to the Rotaract Club of Guwahati and used in the Assam flood relief, as part of a Community Service initiative. RC Guwahati East will be helping the village of Amingaon, and providing the following :
Rice, dal, salt, oil, soyabean, biscuits etc
Soap
Mosquito coils
CandlesÂ
Sanitary pads
Basic medicines and first aid
Masks, sanitisers, etc
For every donation of Rs. 100, they will be able to provide a one time meal and a medicine packet to 2 people.
In the first session, Pandemic se Darona,Â
Rtn. Dr. S. Raju shared with us his perspective on the world of medicine. He talked about what changes that we must make as a society to reduce the risks of or even avoid a global pandemic in the future.
In the second session, Hawa Mahal, Rtr. Shreya Prabhu, a counselling psychologist, took us through the journey of an idea to its execution and self-concept. She talked about the psychology behind efficient project planning- especially in today’s distractions.
In the final session of the evening, Digital Dishkiyaoon, Digital content strategist Rtr. Cletus D’souza unravelled the ‘secrets’ of media. He talked about understanding the importance of content in digital space and shared a few types of social media content that one can leverage in today’s time.
